1996, Scott joined Steelhead in 2005 to start the Pathfinder Fund. He became Steelhead’s Managing

Member in 2019. In 2023, after 17+ years as Pathfinder’s portfolio manager, Scott transitioned from

Steelhead has approximately $1.4 billion in assets under management.

Scott has over 35 years of portfolio management experience spanning fixed income, derivative, and

convertible securities investing. His interest in convertible securities was sparked in the early 1990s

while co-managing a $5 billion investment-grade corporate bond portfolio at Loews Corporation. There,

in 1998, Scott proposed and launched a new strategy focusing on convertible bond investing. Scott

continuously refined and perfected his strategy until his departure from Loews to join Steelhead in

2005.

Prior to joining Loews, Scott was with Prudential Insurance, where he was the portfolio manager for two

fixed-income mutual funds. At Prudential, he gained experience investing in government, corporate, and

mortgage-backed securities, as well as hedging with futures and options. Scott began his career with

IBM as a computer programmer.

Scott graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University, with dual majors in

economics and computer science. He received his MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the

University of Pennsylvania.
