Tony J. Blevins is a 22 year veteran of Apple, Inc in Cupertino, CA. As Vice-President of Procurement, he supervised a 1000+ person international staff that enabled innovative Apple products that include the original and all later versions of the iPhone, iPad, iPod and Apple Watch. In 2002, he was named one of thirty ‘Global Leaders of Tomorrow’ in conjunction with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Prior to joining Apple in 2000, Blevins held positions at IBM in both supply chain and engineering and worked/resided in Florida, New York, Tokyo and Seoul, culminating in the position of Program Director of IBM’s Scotland laboratory.
He currently serves as a Board Member at: NextGen Cyber Talent -a non-profit education-based org dedicated toward developing a diverse set of individuals prepared for careers in cyber security; Pivotal Commware -a pioneer in holographic beam forming used in 5G telecommunications; Urbanic – an AI-based platform focused on development of ladies style and fashion accessories; Quantum Corporation – a technology leader in end-to-end enterprise data management solutions designed for the AI era; and was also a Board of Trustee member at Semi, Inc. -a global microelectronics industry association.
Blevins is a 1989 Summa Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina State University’s engineering program. He is also an NCSU Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Distinguished Alumni as well as an NCSU ISE Board of Advisory member. Blevins was the 2022 recipient of the International Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering’s most prestigious award — ‘Captain of Industry’.
